Nicole Fortin
I am a Full Professor in the Department of Economics at UBC in Vancouver, BC where I teach courses in labour economics and empirical economics, at the graduate and undergraduate level. My research interests revolve around two themes: wage inequality and its links to labour market institutions and public policies, including higher education policies on the one hand, and the economic progress of women, gender equality policies, gender issues on the other.

I am originally from Montreal, Quebec and I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from UBC in 1988. I moved back to UBC in 1999 after teaching for 10 years at the Universite de Montreal.
