NORFACE Research Programme on Migration
The NORFACE Research Programme on Migration is a programme of twelve transnational research projects responding to the theme:
Migration in Europe: Social, Economic, Cultural and Policy Dynamics
NORFACE – New Opportunities for Research Funding Co-operation Agency in Europe, is a network of 15 national research funding organisations in Europe and Canada, co-operating since beginning of 2004.
The conference "Migration: Global Development, New Frontiers" was held at UCL from 10-13 April 2013. With over 550 submissions and 320 papers presented, it proved a huge success for the Norface Migration Programme. The conference was attended by 500 participants and featured a keynote speech, four invited lectures and six academic podium sessions by some of the leading scholars on migration research from across disciplines. The conference also featured three high level policy events, co-organised by the Rt. Hon. Charles Clarke, CReAM fellow and former UK Home Secretary. Overall, this conference brought together academics and the world of policy on the subject of migration.
Many invited speakers and conference participants were interviewed. All the invited sessions were recorded. We had approximately 30 press briefings for selected papers. All the photographs, interviews, videos and papers are published on the Norface Migration website.
